Daniela Orozco, a Fulbright Scholar from the Pontifical Bolivarian University in Medellin, Colombia, will spend the Fall 2022 semester in the Department of Political Science working on her dissertation with CPI Director James Meernik and other faculty. The Fulbright Scholarship supports Daniela's research on the Justice and Peace Law, which was designed to demobilize the paramilitary forces of the United Self Defense Forces of Colombia (AUC). Daniela's research focuses on the extent to which the law lived up to its promises both for the former combatants and their victims.
