CPI Publishes Study on Reintegration of Former Combatants in Colombia

The Castleberry Peace Institute is pleased to announce that, "Insecurity and the Reintegration of Former Armed Non-State Actors in Colombia" by James Meernik, Juan Gaviria Henao and Laua Baron Mendoza has been published online in the European Political Science Review. This study examines the factors that are most powerful in explaining why some individuals from former rebel groups like the FARC (Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia) and paramilitary groups like the Central Bolivar Bloc are able to make a successful transition to civilian life while others rejoin armed groups.
