The Castleberry Peace Institute is pleased to announce that the archival materials from the Casa Museo Altavista, a small museum in Altavista Colombia, is complete. Altavista, which is on the outskirts of Medellin, has experienced many problems with conflict violence over the years, but now community members are taking steps to revitalize the area to grow more food, build businesses and bring tourists in to see their museum and all the natural beauty and wildlife of the area.
CPI thanks Beatriz Aguilera Alvarado for all her hard work on this project over the last year. Her efforts on this project kept it going throughout the last academic year, which was one of the most difficult ever. Thanks Beatriz!
