Peace and Transitional Justice Conference in Medellin, Colombia

The Castleberry Peace Institute is proud to co-sponsor the Peace and Transitional Justice conference in Medellin, Colombia, October 25-26, 2017. This conference grows out of a relationship that developed since the Institute's visit to Medellin in March of 2016. Our partners, the Museum of Memory, EAFIT University (Administration and Finance School and Technology Institute), and the Pontifical Bolivarian University are hosting the conference and bringing together Colombian and international scholars to discuss the peace process in Colombia and efforts to provide justice after decades of civil war. We at the Castleberry Peace Institute are especially mindful of the legacy of our namesake, Vivian Castleberry, who recently passed away. Vivian was a tireless advocate for peace. We dedicate our journey to Colombia to expand our understanding of peace and apply our knowledge about peace to her. I will post from the conference to share with you what we will experience and learn in Medellin. Onward!
