Vivian Castleberry passes away at age 95

It is with a heavy heart that we at the Castleberry Peace Institute must announce that our namesake and one of our biggest supporters, Vivan Castleberry, passed away October 4 at age 95. Vivian was not only a champion of peace the world over, and a strong advocate for human rights, she was a champion of women's rights who paved the way for women in the field of journalism in Dallas and throughout the US. You will, no doubt, hear of Vivian's many accomplishments and her numerous awards and accolades over a long and distinguished career. For me, her wonderful, shining spirit and friendship meant the most of all. Our deepest sympathies to her family.
