Christine Balarezo wins the International Studies Association's Deborah (Misty) Gerner Grant

Christine Balarezo, a UNT PhD candidate in Political Science, was awarded the International Studies Association's Deborah (Misty) Gerner Grant for Professional Development. The Deborah Gerner Grant for Professional Development is awarded by the Women's Caucus of International Studies (WCIS) and sponsored by Lynne Rienner Publishers. Funds from this grant may be used to support any legitimate professional development need identified by the candidate. This $2000 award is only given out once a year. She will receive the award at the 2013 ISA Business Meeting and Awards Ceremony @ the Hilton Union Square in San Francisco on Thursday, April 4th, 2013. Christine is completing her dissertation on human trafficking, and has presented several papers on the subject. Congratulations Christine!!
