Johnie Christian Family Professor of Peace Studies and Regents Professor of Political Science. Dr. Mason also directs UNT’s Peace Studies Program and has served as Associate Editor (2003-2007) and Editor-in-Chief (2007-2008) of International Studies Quarterly, the flagship journal of the International Studies Association. Mason’s research on civil conflict, civil conflict resolution, and post-war peace duration has appeared in a number of journals, including American Political Science Review, Journal of Politics, Comparative Political Studies, International Studies Quarterly, Latin American Research Review, Terrorism and Political Violence, Social Science Quarterly, Public Choice, Journal of Conflict Resolution, International Interactions, Defence and Peace Economics, Political Research Quarterly, Asian Survey, Journal of Peace Research, and Political Behavior.
